For years, I wanted a machine that could stay online all the time. Not for anything fancy, just something reliable for files, Linux experiments, and future projects.
很多人搭家庭服务器都会追求几十核、上百 GB 内存和 AI 算力，但我更希望从自己手头的硬件开始，一步一步搭建属于自己的系统。
目前这台服务器使用 AMD Ryzen 5 2600，搭配华硕 PRIME B550 主板。内存为 16GB 双通道，主硬盘为 1TB 机械硬盘，同时配备一块 8TB 机械硬盘。电源使用振华金蝶 450W。
暂时没有安装独立显卡，因为目前并不打算运行 AI 模型。对于我来说，稳定、低功耗和持续运行比性能更重要。
One thing I never really worry about is storage.
Over the years, I have collected:
- 2 × 8TB hard drives
- 2 × 2TB hard drives
- 2 × 1TB hard drives
- 1 × 1TB SSD
For a personal server, that is already more than enough.
未来，这台机器将承担更多任务：
- Minecraft Server
- NAS and file storage
- Linux experiments
- Website backup
- Docker services
- Jellyfin media server
I don't expect to build everything at once.
Just like this website, I prefer building things one step at a time.
Every server starts with a single machine.
